Antique French Ormolu portrait crystal casket jewel box . The box is gold gilt over bronze . The portrait is hand painted signed however we cannot make out the artist signature , and set behind glass . The portrait is of Marquis de Montesson . The box measures 8” long by 3 1/2” deep and 3 1/2” tall. The box is in good condition with a slight Ferrell of decoration absent in the top left . We date the box 1860-80.
