Japanese Kutani Imari Porcelain Fish Bowl Jardineer Hibachi B

Japanese Imari Kutani hibachi or fish bowl. This stunning bowl is hand crafted porcelain is beautifully hand painted under glaze with gold leaf highlights. The bowl is without flaw in excellent condition. We date the bowl to 1930-40's. The jardineer or bowl is large measuring 22 1/2" x 16" tall. The fish bowl is only one of two I am currently offering from the same estate. The bowls while not identical are considered a matching pair. The only difference being one has a bit of green and magenta blossoms while one does not, and blossoms cover the reverse one jardineer while birds in flight cover the other. The flowers are identical and the imari pattern varies on both lips and there is a slight size difference of 1/2" in diameter on the colored one. These would be fabulous on a elevated carved base. This listing is for fish bowl B shown on the right hand of the pair photo. This one has the birds and is one of the pair that has a mark on the bottom. The other bowl is blank.
