Rare Early Miniature Gentleman's Ivory Portrait Ring

Up for sale we have a rare early gentlemen's ivory portrait ring. The ring came from a private collectors estate. Once a pin we think it was soft soldered to the ring base at a latter date. The bezel is of gold and the shank low gold perhaps gold filled. We date the ivory pin portrait circa 1750-1800 or prior. The portrait in under crystal which has some scratches and has had a slight old moisture issue around the edge. The ring is a finger size of 6.5 an measures @1" long by 1/2" wide. In research the former owner thought the portrait was of a young John Wesley who found the Methodist Church.
